Where do I go once I've booked a Pilates private session or class?
If you are New to RISE and haven’t done a session with us then please wait in the cafe area and your instructor will come and get to and take you to the reformer studio.
Is there parking?
Is Pilates suitable for beginners?
Yes, Pilates can be adapted for all fitness levels, including beginners to elite athletes. Instructors tailor exercises to suit your ability and goals. It’s a good idea to start with one of our starter packages to give you a 1:1 first.
How often should I practice Pilates?
For optimal results, 2-3 times a week is recommended, but even once a week will bring benefits.
What should I wear to a Pilates class?
Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement. Bare feet or grippy socks are a must in our studio.
What's the difference between mat Pilates and reformer Pilates?
Mat Pilates is done on the floor using body weight and small props, while reformer Pilates uses a specialized machine with springs and pulleys for resistance.
How long is a typical Pilates class?
Do I need to bring my own mat or equipment?
No, we supply everything in the studio for you.
Can I do Pilates if I have an injury?
Yes, Pilates is often used for injury rehabilitation, but it’s important to inform your instructor so they can modify exercises as needed or see one of your physiotherapists or Osteopaths before joining a class or 1:1
Is Pilates safe during pregnancy?
Yes, we offer 1:1 classes for new to Pilates mum’s to be. This would be with one of our prenatal qualified instructors.
Will Pilates improve my posture?
Yes, one of the core benefits of Pilates is improved posture by strengthening the muscles that support your spine.
How many people are in a class?
We have a maximum of 5 Clients in a class so all of our classes are great for individual needs and bespoke to your goals.
What is your cancellation policy?
Studios often require 24-hour notice for cancellations to avoid being charged for the class or 1:1.
